Peta Dollar

Peta Dollar has more than 25 years’ experience of practising commercial property law.  Her experience was exceptionally wide-ranging, including investment, development, landlord and tenant, planning, construction and corporate support, as well as PFI/PPP transactions and other public sector work.  She was a Real Estate Partner at the firm now known as Dentons for 17 years and has now been a full-time freelance lecturer, trainer and writer for more than 10 years.  Peta is a member of the Consultation Board of Practical Law Company and the Editorial Board of Landlord and Tenant Review.  She regularly publishes articles in the Estates Gazette as well as in Landlord and Tenant Review, and has contributed a number of articles to the Property Law website at www.propertylawuk.net, for which she is a Site Editor.  Peta is the co-author of two books on the Landlord and Tenant Act 1987 and writes the Mixed Use, Easements and Leases sections of Isurv (the information resource of the RICS). Peta was a member of the judging panel for the Solicitors Journal Awards 2017 (Commercial Property Team of the Year category) and will be a member of the judging panel again in 2019. She has recently delivered a Blundell Memorial Lecture on the subject of judicial interpretation of documents noted on public registers.  She has acted as an expert witness.
